West Ham United have had an extremely successful transfer window this summer, however, it appears that they are still in the market for more players as Thursday’s deadline approaches.
Manuel Pellegrini has transformed his squad with a number of quality additions to try and help the team to compete for a place in European football.
The Chilean has reinforced his goalkeeper and defence with the acquisitions of Lukasz Fabianski, Issa Diop, Fabian Balbuena and Ryan Fredericks to give them a better chance of keeping a clean sheet and shutting out opposition attackers.
Pellegrini has also added creativity, skill and experience to his midfield with Jack Wilshere, Andriy Yarmolenko and record-signing Felipe Anderson all joining the London Stadium outfit.
However, it appears the former Premier League winner is still in the market as he looks for an attacker, with reports suggesting he could look to London rivals for one of their out-of-favoured strikers.
Bringing a striker to the London Stadium would be a solid piece of business for West Ham to make this summer just as the transfer market is about to close.
Perez appears to have become a forgotten man at Arsenal as he has struggled to make an impact since he joined them in 2016 and was subsequently loaned out to Deportivo La Coruna last season.
There will be question marks about whether he can lead the line with the Hammers, as he has not had a real chance to do it before for the Gunners, although it may be the move that helps him reinvent himself and his career.
