West Ham United and Spurs face fight to sign striker, current club confirm intentions not to sell

Alexandre Lacazette Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United could be forced to turn their attentions for a new striker away from Lyon, after the French club’s President Jean-Michel Aulas confirmed his desire to keep Alexandre Lacazette at the club.

The French international has netted 18 goals in 32 appearances during the current campaign and his form as caught the attention of some of Europe’s top clubs, with several planning summer swoops.

Both West Ham and Spurs supporters here in the Transfer Tavern are keen to see their clubs add strikers to their teams this summer and are slightly disgruntled at this news, which has been found by one of our regulars in the London Evening Standard.

Lacazette was thought to be keen to leave the club and this news might come as a shock to the player himself, who turned down a move to Newcastle in January due to their lowly league position.

West Ham and Tottenham fans, would you welcome Lacazette? Who else should the club target in the wake of this news?
