West Ham United boss to ditch Hammers schemer this summer?

Ravel Morrison celebrates scoring in West Ham's shock 3-0 win against TottenhamWest Ham United fans in the Football Transfer Tavern have been warming towards Sam Allardyce recently but that could soon come to an end.

According to The Mirror, Allardyce is ready to offload Hammers midfielder Ravel Morrison.

Reports suggest that the England Under-21 international, a fans favourite at Upton Park, is no longer part of the former Bolton Wanderers boss’ plans.

Ravel, as he prefers to be called, is currently recovering from a minor groin operation while the remainder of the squad tour New Zealand as part of their pre-season preparations.

Allardyce is understood to be unhappy that Ravel delayed his operation until now because the midfielder claimed he was scared of being cut.

The midfielder, who spent some time at QPR on loan last season, is also said to have left Big Sam exasperated with an aversion to long-haul flights.

The former Manchester United schemer has been at St. George’s Park in the Midlands this week as part of his rehab.

He has just a year left on his Hammers’ contract and it has constantly been rumoured that a new deal is on the table.

The Hammers’ faithful will be hoping that deal comes onto the table sooner rather than later.

The East Londoners have grown rather fond of Ravel in the short time he has been at the club and certainly has more fan love than Allardyce.
