The West Ham United fans who are gathered around the jukebox in The Transfer Tavern are discussing news that the club are closing in on a new signing.
ESPN is reporting that the Premier League side are close to securing the signature of Valencia winger Sofiane Feghouli.
The Algerian international has run his contract down with the La Liga side and will join the Premier League side upon expiry on 1st July.
Feghouli has spent six seasons with Valencia and has been a long term target for sides in the Premier League sides with the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool all reportedly interested in the player at one time or another.
The news will delight Slaven Bilic who has been left frustrated at getting deals over the line so far this summer and is eager to add more quality to his squad ahead of next season.
Club co-owner David Sullivan revealed the club have put bids in for five players so far and are awaiting responses so it sounds like it is going to be anything but quiet at the Olympic Stadium this summer.
