When it comes to the best fans in the Premier League West Ham’s mob are certainly up there, which just shows how disillusioned with it all Hammers fans really are.
Sam Allardyce has promised attacking football this season and he’s started his spending by luring Mauro Zarate back from Argentina.
According to the Daily Star, a three-year contract is in place and he’ll leave Velez Sarsfield, where he scored 18 goals in 28 games, in a matter of days.
The move has been confirmed by both his brother and his agent and the former Birmingham City and Lazio striker is set to sign for the Hammers with Velez set to earn ‘good financial compensation’.
He only re-joined Velez from Serie A side Lazio last July but it’s thought that Zarate would find it hard to turn down another chance to play in England.
Zarate’s signature is rumoured to be wanted elsewhere in the Premier League and throughout Europe but West Ham have reportedly already tied up the signing.
West Ham fans. Is the signing of Zarate enough to get you excited this season? Let us know your thoughts below.
