West Ham United confirm midfielder return

West Ham United fans in the Transfer Tavern will be disappointed with the manner in the way their players performed in their defeat to Arsenal at the weekend.

The Hammers were beaten 4-1 at the Emirates Stadium and still remain within touching distance of the bottom three, however, the locals are confident that they have done enough to stay up by the end of the campaign.

West Ham will be looking to try and get back to getting as many points as possible in their next outing, although a home test against Premier League champions Manchester City awaits them at the weekend.

Moses Makasi’s season has already come to an end, however, as he had to undergo surgery to his right knee. The midfielder had been on loan at Plymouth Argyle and had made seven appearances for the League One side, as they battle for a playoff spot to the Championship, but has now returned to the Irons as they oversee his progress.

West Ham locals in the Tavern will be disappointed to learn of Makasi’s injury as he had been performing well for the Pilgrims, however, a number of the punters will be wishing him a speedy recovery and will hope to see him back in action in the near future.
