West Ham United: Fans react as the players want Moyes to be handed long-term contract
West Ham United seemed to have turned a corner over the last month as they have performed well enough to pick up eight points from their first six games.
It looked bad for the club and manager David Moyes when they lost their first two games of the season. However emphatic victories over Wolves and Leicester City, as well as draws against Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City has seen the mood turn very positive.
It seems like the squad are feeling positive too – the Hammers players are reportedly backing Moyes to be handed a new long-term contract following the club’s resurgence since lockdown.
Many of the Irons fan base have been reacting to this news from the Daily Mail and tweeted out by @whufc_news, and it seems plenty believe Moyes deserves a new deal, and this is understandable as they have only lost twice in 13 Premier League games since the first of July.
Meanwhile others want the club to see the season play out to see where the club are at so that they are not rewarding him too early.
