Burak YilmazThe debate is continuing here over a pint in the Football Transfer Tavern amongst West Ham fans, who are still none the wiser as to who their new striker will be.

Our landlord reckons there are as many as 12 strikers on the Hammers shortlist, with Slaven Bilic looking to add more firepower to his squad due to injuries to Andy Carroll and Enner Valencia.

The likes of Charlie Austin, Raul Jiminez, Emmanuel Adebayor and Javier Hernandez have all been linked, and today the Metro are claiming talks have taken place for the signing of Burak Yilmaz.

The Turkish forward has an excellent goalscoring record for Galatasary, and has previously been linked with Chelsea.

Bilic has faced the 30-year-old a number of times during his time in charge of Besiktas, and is hoping an offer of £6.3million will be enough to lure him to the Premier League.

Turkish newspaper AS has reported the deal is ‘almost done.’
