Reacting to a claim from ExWHUemployee on Twitter, many West Ham fans have had their say over David Moyes potentially opting to start Andriy Yarmolenko upfront against Stockport County – with Irons holding no shortage of varying opinions on who should feature.
Sebastien Haller’s confirmed club exit means a severe shortage of striking options for Moyes, with GSB still not signing a like-for-like replacement this window as West Ham look set to improvise for the time being.
Michail Antonio is nearing a return, and promising young starlet Mipo Odubeko trained with the first team all week, but ExWHUemployee claims that Moyes ‘may opt’ to utilise Yarmolenko in the forward position on Monday.
Reacting to this update, many Irons flocked to have their say over who should start and the ongoing striker shortage – find all of their best verdicts down below.
West Ham fans react to Yarmolenko claim
“That means he’s taking it seriously.
Bad news for GSB though imagine how much it would cost then for travel if we drew Middlesbrough away”
“It won’t be Antonio. That would be ridiculous, even for West Ham.”
“Odubeko or we riot.”
“I like this. I want to take the cup seriously”
“I’m surprised Bowen hasn’t been given a go through the middle yet. Yarmolenko can play out wide and Bowen can play off the shoulder. He makes more intelligent forward runs than Yarmolenko in my opinion.”
“Delighted to see Haller the lamp post is gone. Yarmo up front has always been the answer”
