West Ham United battled to a hard fought point in midweek against Spurs, as David Moyes continues to see an improvement in his Hammers side since taking over.
The Scot has brought a sense of discipline to proceedings at the London Stadium and results are improving, and the former Man United and Everton gaffer will no doubt have his eye on the January transfer window as he looks to add some improvements to the squad.
One such area our landlord here in the Tavern thinks is desperately in need of improvement is up front, where expensive summer signing Javier Hernandez has failed to fire so far, and cut a forlorn figure at Wembley this past week.
However, our landlord thinks he’s seen the ideal replacement, and he thinks the Hammers need to bin Hernandez off and go all out to sign Ajax teenager Justin Kluivert, who has been impressing in the Dutch league this season with a string of goals and fine performances.
Kluivert, who is the son of former Barcelona man Patrick, has been in devastating goalscoring form and looks to have all the hallmarks of being someone who can go on and develop into one of the game’s best players.
If he keeps his progress up, and West Ham can manage to get a deal over the line for Kluivert, then the Hammers could well have their next top striker on their hands for years to come.
Hammers fans, what do you think? Good signing? Let us know in the comments!
