West Ham United fans in the Football Transfer Tavern could be set to welcome some more attacking options to Upton Park this summer.
Because according to talkSPORT, Hammers boss Sam Allardyce has told supporters that he hopes to sign an attacking midfielder and another striker in the coming weeks.
Allardyce broke the news at a fan’s forum at the Circus Tavern when he admitted that the East London outfit still need more quality in front of goal.
The former Newcastle United and Bolton Wanderers boss has already been busy this summer having signed Mauro Zarate, Cheikhou Kouyate, Diego Poyet, Aaron Cresswell, Carl Jenkinson and Enner Valencia.
But he was dealt a major blow with the news that record signing Andy Carroll would miss the first four months of the season with ankle ligament damage.
Reports suggest that Sunderland’s Connor Wickham and former West Bromwich Albion loanee Morgan Amalfitano (pictured) could be the two players in question.
West Ham fans. Connor Wickham has not excelled as many thought he would but he had a good run towards the end of last season. So is he what your club needs? Let us know your thoughts below.
