West Ham United ready to make January swoop for Liverpool man

The West Ham United fans in the Transfer Tavern are hoping that David Moyes makes some good signings in the January transfer window to lift the Hammers away from the relegation zone.

David Moyes has arrived in the East End, tasked with keeping West Ham up after Slaven Bilic was sacked before the international break.

And Moyes is already casting his eye over possible January additions.

According to The Sun, West Ham United will make an attempt to sign Danny Ings on loan from Liverpool when the transfer window re-opens in the new year.

The 25-year-old has suffered a string of bad injuries and has had to have two operations on his knee.

The former Burnley man will now be targeting some game time under his belt but with Daniel Sturridge, Roberto Firmino and Dominic Solanke on their books, Ings is unlikely to get much time on the pitch with Liverpool.

Moyes has previously tried to sign Ings, while he was at Real Sociedad, and he now wants him to join West Ham.

The Irons currently have Javier Hernandez as their leading marksman with four goals and Diafra Sakho and Andy Carroll provide the other two senior options up top.
