Their mood is only going to sour further when they hear that the one tiny bit of hope at Upton Park is on the radar of another Premier League club.
According to the Daily Mirror, Queens Park Rangers gaffer Harry Redknapp wants to bring Ravel Morrison to the Hoops on a permanent basis after securing Premier League football just days ago.
Morrison is a firm fans favourite down at Upton Park – thanks largely to his sublime individual goal against arch-rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
But a falling out with Sam Allardyce – a man who is definitely not a fans favourite – midway through the season means that his West Ham future is less than certain.
Ravel himself has tweeted on several occasions that he wants to stay at West Ham and has the number ten shirt in sight.
Despite this, Redknapp feels he can pounce for the England Under-21 international and make the most of his contractual uncertainty.
But big Malcolm, one of the West Ham supporting bouncers, reckons selling Ravel would be the worst thing Allardyce could do at the club.
Hammers fans are already less than amused with Allardyce as a manager and he’d be a very brave man to sell Morrison.
