It’s the turn of the weekly darts tournament here in the Football Transfer Tavern this evening and the landlord is preparing the oche for tonight’s matches.
This is when Nick Lustig from the Daily Star arrives with news of a potential Premier League arrival.
Lustig suggests that as many as four Premier League clubs are eyeing up a move for Swedish midfielder Jiloan Hamad, according to the player’s agent.
The Malmo midfielder’s impressive performances in the Allsvenskan have attracted interest from Fulham, Norwich City and West Ham United, who could pick up the 22-year-old on a free transfer in January.
Hamad’s agent, Ferhat Cifci, confirmed that his client had also seen interest from across Europe despite his ambition to one day feature in the Premier League.
“There are four clubs in England’s Premier League who are showing great interest in Jiloan,” he said.
“There is also interest from clubs in Germany and France, but Jiloan’s first choice is to play in the Premier League.
“He is a free agent in January and he is one of the best Bosman signings around and we are working on that at this time.”
With 11 goals under his belt this season for Malmo, who are close to clinching the Swedish title, Hamad would certainly appear to be a strong capture for any of the sides linked with the 22-year-old.
The Swedish international recently confirmed in the summer that talks had be held between the Hammers and his agent over a potential move to East London.
