West Ham United to improve their offer for Manchester United striker

A permanent move for Javier Hernandez? West Ham supporters in the Football Transfer Tavern are still buzzing from their excellent 2-0 win over Arsenal at the Emirates on Sunday.

Slaven Bilic made the dream start to life as a Premier League manager, with his West Ham side producing one of the most impressive displays of all the club’s during the opening weekend.

Summer signings seem to have gelled instantly, whilst 16-year-old debutant Reece Oxford shone in the middle of the park.

The opening day win at the home of one of the title favourites has boosted West Ham supporters hopes for the season, and may well play a part in their attempts to recruit a top class striker.

And the Daily Star reckons the Hammers are set to make an improved offer for Manchester United outcast Javier Hernandez, having seen an initial bid of £8.5million rejected.

The Mexican is surplus to requirements at Old Trafford, despite boasting a very good goal record during his time in English football.

Now Bilic is set to up his offer to £12million in the hope of getting the man known as ‘the little pea’ to spearhead his Upton Park revolution, and our landlord here in the Transfer Tavern feels that Bilic should do all in his power to lure the Mexican striker to the London club!
