West Ham United fans look rejuvenated in the Football Transfer Tavern as Sam Allardyce continues to try and reinvent the club’s style of football and some fans see the potential sale of their current target man as a step in the right direction.
According to the Daily Mail, the Hammers are looking to offload Andy Carroll next January and his former club Newcastle United look first in line to snap him up.
The Magpies are willing to pay £8 million for the striker whose career at West Ham has been horrendously interrupted by lengthy injuries
Carroll is said to be looking for a fresh move and maybe a move back home could be perfect for him and also Alan Pardew whose Toon Army ranks are struggling at present.
Having originally sold him to Liverpool for £34 million, if the Geordies are to ever to make the transfer reunion happen, it will depend on whether Carroll is willing to take a pay cut to his wages – which are in the region of £85,000 a week.
The move could be perfect for both parties with the striker having enjoyed great form at St. James’ Park in the past but Stoke City and QPR could also be interested in the big striker, with both clubs hunting for a new target man.
West Ham fans. It could of worked for Andy Carroll at Upton Park if it wasn’t for the injuries he picked up. Would you be sad to see him go? Let us know your thoughts below.
