Because today the Daily Star are reporting that the former Bolton Wanderers boss is set to delve into the transfer window yet again.
Allardyce has already added Argentine striker Mauro Zarate to his ranks this summer and he now looks set to add Enner Valencia with a £12 million bid.
The 25-year-old has burst onto the scene this summer whilst representing Ecuador at the World Cup, scoring three group stage goals.
The goals came after a superb season in Mexico in which he notched an impressive 18 goals in 23 games after joining Pachuca last January.
Tottenham Hotspur are also rumoured to be interested but Allardyce has been working quickly and shrewdly so far this summer and he could steal a march on their rivals.
Freshening up his attack is a priority for Sam Allardyce after he was ordered to improve West Ham’s style of football by the Hammers board and it looks like he is doing exactly that.
As well as Zarate, the Hammers have also brought in Cheikhou Kouyate from Anderlecht and Aaron Cresswell from Ipswich Town so far this summer.
