Everton’s record-signing Richarlison proved to be the difference yet again following a match-winning display against Brighton.

The Brazilian winger put his side ahead after just 26 minutes before Lewis Dunk equalised only seven minutes later. Seamus Coleman netted after the interval to restore the lead with Richarlison grabbing his brace with 13 minutes left on the clock. His goals took his tally for the season to six with Everton winning their fourth game in five Premier League matches.

The Toffees are starting to make real progress under Marco Silva with Richarlison at the forefront. The Portuguese clearly knows how to get the best out of the youngster who is thriving at Goodison Park. To maintain their excellent form, Everton should target another goal scorer to bolster their forward line in January.

The perfect addition to the squad could be West Ham forward – Marko Arnautovic. Valued at £22.5m by Transfermarkt, the Austrian was mostly used as a winger during his time with Stoke and the Hammers but has found a new lease of life at striker under Manuel Pellegrini. The 29-year-old has made the position his own following a string of impressive performances.

Arnautovic has already found the back of the net five times in just nine Premier League appearances so far this season – highlighting the threat he poses in the attack. A strong and powerful forward, he would have no issues fitting into the Everton line up and would give Silva the goal threat he has lacked in the centre. Alongside players of Richarlison’s calibre and with Gylfi Sigurdsson behind him, Arnautovic could reach new heights on Merseyside.

Goodison Park could be the ideal home for the former Inter Milan star in the New Year.
