West Ham United could certainly do with adding some creativity to their midfield in the summer.
Manuel Pellegrini’s side have lacked the attacking threat in the middle of the field at times this season, however, it seems that one man who could help solve that issue is on the London Stadium outfit’s radar.
What’s the News?
According to a report by El Desmarque, West Ham are very interested in signing Victor Camarasa this summer.
The Real Betis midfielder, who is currently on loan at Cardiff City, has been impressing many with his performances in the Premier League season, which has led to the rumoured interest from the Hammers.
It is believed he could be available for €25million (£21.2m) because of the release clause in his contract, however, the Irons could face competition from Tottenham Hotspur as they are also said to be keen in the 24-year-old.
Camarasa has been impressive this season with Cardiff as he has helped them tick and has been key in trying to keep them in the Premier League this season. However, a move to West Ham could help the 24-year-old take his game to the next level, whilst the London Stadium outfit would benefit having him in their squad.
The Spaniard, who has four assists and five goals to his name so far in the top-flight, would give Pellegrini’s side the additional creativity the Hammers have lacked throughout the campaign, as he is blessed with exceptional quality that many of the players at the club do not currently have.
Although the vision and passing aspects of his game could do with some improvement, he has provided glimpses of what he could be able to achieve if he were given the opportunity to play in a side with better quality players.
Camarasa is not scared of taking a shot from distance either, which would add some goal threat to the midfield as the likes of Declan Rice and Mark Noble are not the type of players to try and work the goalkeeper from distance too often.
With Tottenham allegedly interested, West Ham must look to try and get a deal done for the Real Betis man as quickly as possible.
West Ham fans, do you think Camarasa would be a good addition? Let us know your thoughts below.
