West Ham United have had a number of injuries to their central midfield this season, which could force Manuel Pellegrini into making additions in January.
The Hammers splashed out on a number of players over the summer, however, the Chilean manager has seen the likes of Andriy Yarmolenko, Carlos Sanchez, Pedro Obiang and Jack Wilshere all have to spend time on the sidelines.
Those injuries have meant the London Stadium outfit have looked a little light at times, however, it appears Pellegrini could be looking to line up a temporary measure in January.
However, it seems that the Hammers could face a difficult time on their hands, as Maurizio Sarri is believed to have slammed the door close on any possibility of that happening, which also happened in the summer.
Loftus-Cheek has started to show Sarri what he can offer Chelsea in recent games, however, he is struggling to make a breakthrough into the Blues’ Premier League side at the moment.
The midfielder starred for Crystal Palace last season whilst on loan and saw his performances rewarded with a place in the England team during the World Cup.
The 22-year-old would certainly be a great addition for the Hammers, however, it looks as though their London rivals are going to make things difficult for Pellegrini to strike a deal for him.
