West Ham eyeing proven goal-scorer in desperate bid to stay afloat

According to The Daily Star, West Ham are looking into the idea of signing Carlos Bacca with our Hammers here in the Transfer Tavern hoping for any kind of striking signing in January.

Indeed, the Hammers have been very poor in front of goal this season with the likes of Simone Zaza failing to find the net once whilst usual main striker Andy Carroll has been blighted by injuries once again this year.

The former Newcastle United striker returned to first team action against Arsenal at the weekend and despite scoring, he and his team were battered 5-1 by the Gunners.

Certainly, if he gets injured again Slaven Bilic’s men will once more be scratching around for goals and so it appears that the Colombian Bacca could be the answer.

The AC Milan forward has proven himself both in Serie A and before that in La Liga for Sevilla so would surely be a more than welcome acquisition at the London Stadium.

The club are precariously close to the relegation zone at the moment and head to Anfield this weekend to take on title challengers Liverpool – a game our landlord can’t see them getting much out of.

Would you take Bacca, Hammers fans? Let us know below!
