West Brom fans in the Transfer Tavern are remaining quietly confident as their club looks to make a shock transfer bid for West Ham’s forward.
According to the Telegraph, the Baggies are plotting an ambitious move for West Ham striker Enner Valencia as Tony Pulis looks to bring in more firepower.
The 25-year-old striker has suffered a frustrating season under Slaven Bilic as he has found places in the starting 11 hard to come by as well having to deal with a reoccurring ankle injury.
The Ecuador international’s future looks in doubt as West Ham are being linked with big-name strikers, including Alexandre Lacazette.
West Brom are not keen on spending a huge fee for a forward after signing Salomon Rondon last summer for £12 million and would reportedly be interested in a loan deal or cut-price fee.
But with Sadio Berahino’s future in doubt at the Hawthorns, it is vital that Pulis has other transfer targets lined up as a replacement.
