West Ham are set for a wealth of changes this summer and the fans in the Transfer Tavern have been discussing one of the club’s aesthetic alterations ahead of the new campaign.
A kit reveal for the Hammers this morning shows the away kit for next season will be predominantly black with an electric-blue trim, moving away from the established white away shirts and blue shorts for the East London side.
Such a major alteration to the standard approach is always likely to get mixed feelings and that is certainly the case on social media, where some fans have fallen in love with the new design whilst others are disgusted with the change to the established colours.
It’s certainly split opinion here in the Transfer Tavern but our landlord is a fan of the new design, stating it’s always nice to see something new instead of the standard, mostly unmodified new designs that crop up ever year.
Thankfully for the fans who aren’t keen on the jersey, it will probably last for just a year.
@WestHamUtd We’re claret and blue not black
