Bilic addresses 30-year-old striker move talk as January looms large

Our West Ham fans here in the Transfer Tavern are hoping for new signings in January and they could get just that in the shape of Carlos Bacca, with Slaven Bilic being quoted by ESPNFC.

Many here by the bar remember, of course, the summer transfer saga that involved the Colombian forward and the east London side, as the Hammers tried to get a deal over the line.

They couldn’t manage it, though, and had to settle for the likes of Simone Zaza up front – something that has not turned out to be successful.

The Hammers have really struggled for goals this season and that is why they are still trying to fend off relegation so any signing they can make that will find the net regularly will be undoubtedly welcomed.

Certainly, Bilic is aware of this and, when asked about the possibility of going back for Bacca, he said there might just be a chance:

“Maybe. We tried. He was one of our targets in the summer. It was in the papers and it was true.”

Our landlord thinks the club should do everything they can to sign the striker, too, with him struggling for game time at AC Milan at the moment.

Would you take Bacca, West Ham fans? Let us know below!
