The West Ham United fans in the Transfer Tavern really don’t know what to make of life under Slaven Bilic right now.
While some of the Hammers propping up the bar have grown disillusioned about his management since moving to the London Stadium, many of their fellow supporters still back the Croation.
Having led the club to a lofty finish last term, the former Besiktas boss established himself as the darling of east London in the final season at Upton Park and appears to retain at least some support.
So, those on his side have been happy to read reports from the Times.
They claim top brass at the London Stadium have given a clear indication of their support in him by sanctioning a deal for promising Wolfsburg midfielder Murat Saglam.
The 18-year-old is yet to make a first-team appearance in the Bundesliga, though is understood to have also attracted the interest of Tottenham Hotspur.
Potentially putting one over on their bitter rivals Spurs is enough to send the Irons into a frenzy and it’s thought the talented teen will move to West Ham next summer.
It’s a show of faith in Bilic as the club begin long-term planning, despite their relegation battle.
Is Bilic the right man to lead West Ham forward? Let us know below..
