Our West Ham fans here in the Transfer Tavern just cannot believe how things have gone this season and they are hoping for a strong January transfer window to help turn it all around.

They've definitely been one of the weakest teams in the division this year with many of their summer signings simply not good enough to improve the team and if anything, they've made the other players worse.

It's a conundrum that Slaven Bilic will be looking to avoid a repeat of at all costs in January as he aims to pull away from the bottom three and our landlord reckons he will have been already working on a shortlist.

As well as that, he's almost certainly had discussions with the club's owners over who he wants to come in and so that's why our landlord reckons he's asked that these three players are brought in...

Daniel Sturridge

sturridge

The Liverpool striker would definitely help fire the club away from the relegation zone.

He's not been a regular starter for the Reds at any time since Jurgen Klopp's arrival and must be getting impatient waiting for his chance. He's had his injury problems of course, too, but when fit there's few better finishers around and our landlord thinks he'd be a top signing for the Hammers.

Mamadou Sakho

Sakho

Another good signing our landlord thinks from Liverpool would be is Mamadou Sakho.

Whilst Sturridge hasn't played thanks to injuries and the form of others Sakho hasn't played under Klopp at all this season because of an obvious breakdown in their relationship. That simply cannot go on at the club and so Slaven Bilic should do all he can to help persuade the Frenchman his future lies in east London.

Branislav Ivanovic

Ivanovic

The Premier League winner is now well out of Antonio Conte's plans and must be considering his options.

After starting regularly for the Blues earlier this season he was one of the players to fall foul of Conte's switch to 3-4-3 and he's been out of the side ever since. He may not be the player he was but he still has got some ability and would certainly help out the Hammers in a weak area of their side - right back.
