Bilic outcast could leave West Ham United on loan this summer

It continues to be a relatively frustrating season for the West Ham United fans in the Transfer Tavern, with manager Slaven Bilic seemingly unable to string together too much momentum in east London for a while now.

Many of the Irons in the bar believe the squad retains a mightily imbalanced look about it, despite a big summer of activity, and are hopeful top brass at the London Stadium will rectify that at the end of this mixed campaign. So, they are interested to read a report on fansite The West Ham Way from the ever-reliable ExWHUemployee.

The ITK-journo has revealed on the site that defender Sam Byram could be allowed to leave on loan this summer as the Hammers try and sign a right-back. Alvara Arbeloa reportedly won’t be kept on and Bilic has resorted to utilising midfielder Cheikhou Kouyate in that berth of late.

Despite rising to prominence with Leeds United, Byram has seemingly failed to earn his manager’s trust in the year or so he’s been in claret and blue, much to the frustration of the fans in the bar, who believe he could be a good long-term option.

In fact, while a loan option is mentioned, the club may reportedly sell him, should the right price come in.

Still, the idea of seeing him leave on loan is at least promising to some, as they hope those behind the scenes keep him on a permanent basis.

Would West Ham be silly in letting Byram leave? Let us know below…
