Our West Ham fans here in the Transfer Tavern are seriously looking forward to seeing how their side does this year in the Premier League.
The men from the London Stadium have enjoyed a strong summer of signing players and now the supporters want to see that yield some big results in the opening weeks.
For sure, the likes of Joe Hart and Javier Hernandez are going to feel that they can help guide the Hammers into European contention and that is certainly what the fans want to see after last season’s disappointment.
Even so, David Gold is also of the opinion that the young players at the club currently are also of a very high-calibre and after tweeting as such there was plenty of reaction.
Here’s the best of what was said, then:
I think we now have the best group of talented young players at the club for over a decade. dg pic.twitter.com/Wno6IShsut

Shame they’ll never get near the first team under your watch but you’ll pay 10m for Snodgrass

You’re back peddling faster than you did when you promised us a stadium fit for football

Just don’t sell them, like Ferdinand, Lampard, Carrick and Cole…

That Fletcher is going to be a star…..oh wait, hang on…

Are those the best players that you said would not get in to the first team because you’d rather go for experience?
