Moving for £5.4m-rated pass master would be ideal Noble heir for West Ham

West Ham fans in the Transfer Tavern are well aware of their midfield problems this season and this summer could be a wise time to invest in players who have the potential to be in Claret and Blue for years to come.

Lewis Cook, Bournemouth’s 21-year-old central midfielder, is valued at £5.4 million on Transfermarkt and he showed his potential when playing against the Hammers at the London Stadium earlier on this year. The young English talent controlled the Cherries team and his passing ability is truly underrated.

Mark Noble has been a legendary figure for West Ham for many seasons now but it could be argued that this is the right time to invest in someone who is capable of even surpassing the great achievements Noble has managed during his 14 years with the club.

Midfield problems were the downfall in the Hammers side earlier on this season but thanks to the resurgence in-form from Cheikhou Kouyate and the arrival of Joao Mario, West Ham have looked a lot better in possession and created more chances for the attackers.

Considering Cook has only played 20 Premier League games this season but still has interest from top English teams such as Everton and Liverpool, this just proves that his potential is there for all to witness. West Ham will have to battle hard to bring in Lewis Cook but the fans next to me at the bar are persistent in saying that he could be a really good player in the future and we’re inclined to agree.

Thoughts West Ham fans?
