Deal reportedly agreed to address long running problem at West Ham

There really hasn’t been much to shout about for the West Ham supporting punters propping up the bar in the Transfer Tavern, despite the move to a new home.

The Irons have been plagued by inconsistency and problems both on and off the field this season, much to the dismay of the unhappy Hammers frequenting in their droves.

Still, reports emanating out of Italy have at least raised spirits somewhat. According to Tuttomercatoweb, those in claret and blue have agreed a deal to bring Manchester City stalwart Pablo Zabaleta to the London Stadium at the end of the season.

A bastion of the Citizen’s success, the Argentine has won it all domestically with City, though is out of contract at the end of the campaign. With that in mind, it’s believed a three-year agreement to bring him down to the Big Smoke has been agreed.

With West Ham struggling in the right-back berth this season, the fans here are delighted about the idea of seeing him arrive.

Sam Byram and Alvaro Arbeloa have failed to wholly convince, with Cheikhou Kouyate often deployed in the role, so his potential arrival will be a big moment for West Ham.
