West Ham have the makings of a talented squad when all available but that has been their problem this season, too many injuries causing inconsistency with the team.
A number of crucial players have been missing during parts of the season whilst the Hammers are bidding to finish in a European place, something not possible without their best team out every week.
Yet Manuel Pellegrini has done a sturdy job with what’s been available to him, as West Ham sit comfortably in the top ten of the Premier League.
They have to try and kick on and with the chance to improve during the January transfer window, West Ham could really fancy their chances to enjoy another rise up the league.
But with all the commotion striker Marko Arnautovic has caused by reportedly (the Sun) wanting to leave the club, the Hammers must be equipped with a back-up plan should he get his wish, someone like Liverpool’s Divock Origi for example.
He would definitely be a solid option for West Ham to consider, especially on a loan deal which Liverpool are reportedly happy to do.
But Origi is also attracting a lot of attention from elsewhere, meaning the Hammers must find a solution to end this Arnautovic nightmare once and for all.
Whatever happens with West Ham, it’s likely Origi will be playing for a different team in February, with the Belgian forward simply not getting enough game-time.
He has played just six times in all competitions this season and although he’s scored three times, it’s not been good enough to lodge him into Jurgen Klopp’s main team permanently.
Would Origi be good for West Ham… Let us know!
