Our West Ham fans here in the Transfer Tavern are gearing up for what is going to, they hope, be a top season at the club.
The Hammers didn’t have much luck last year but that is gone now and the optimism surrounding the side has returned as we head into 2017/18.
Indeed, the Mexican forward Javier Hernandez – as well as Joe Hart and Marko Arnautovic – have certainly added to that feeling and now they’ll be looking to get a result against Manchester United this weekend.
How they do, then, remains to be seen but it seems as though Jack Sullivan is ready for the game to begin with his latest tweet underlining his excitement.
Certainly, Hammers fans have responded to this update from Sullivan and so, with that in mind, here is the best of what has been said as we hurtle towards the weekend:
Can’t wait for Man U, I’ve missed the football season so much #COYI

After watching Pre-season I can’t say I’m looking forward to Man Utd, we look slow and one pace. Hernandez needs help and we are short in CM

Lukaku has a good scoring record against us. Do you think we have a chance against them at their place?
