Four-year deal reportedly drawn up over protracted West Ham transfer

It’s been amazing to see just how little the West Ham United fans in the Transfer Tavern care about what will happen to Dimitri Payet this month, as the Hammers seem to move on without him.

After telling the club he no longer wanted to play for them, the Frenchman’s absence from the first-team has seen them win their last two games as the likes of Andy Carroll, Manuel Lanzini and Michail Antonio continue to impress.

Strongly linked with a return to former charges Marseille, the 29-year-old appears to be the centre of a saga between the Irons and the Ligue 1 side, with an agreement over the pricing of a deal believed to be a stumbling block.

However, according to Bleacher Report, those at the Stade Velodrome remain confident a deal can be done in regards to the Les Blues ace. They claim the east London side would be willing to accept less than £30m for the midfielder and Marseille are said to have ALREADY drawn up a four-year deal, such is their optimism of getting a deal completed.

The Hammers in the Tavern just want it wrapped up quickly, with Payet seemingly burning his bridges at the London Stadium.

Will Payet ever play for West Ham again? Let us know below…
