West Ham United: Fans not pleased as Martin Braithwaite is linked to the club

A lot of West Ham fans are not happy as the club are reportedly interested in Denmark international Martin Braithwaite, who currently plays for Spanish giants FC Barcelona, according to The Daily Mail.
The 28-year-old striker recently moved from La Liga side CD Leganes to Barcelona on an emergency transfer, via BBC Sport.
Many may have thought the signing was surprising, as the forward had only managed six goals so far this campaign, per Transfermarkt, and fans of English football might remember Braithwaite from his time at Championship side Middlesborough, where he only managed nine goals in 40 appearances in the division.
It looks like Barca have not been impressed as they look to sell him in the summer, with West Ham looking to bid around £15 million in the summer for the player, via The Daily Mail.
His statistics this season don’t leave much for Hammers fans to be excited about as the forward is dispossessed on average 1.1 times per game, and although he manages 1.8 shots per game, via WhoScored, this is still less than current West Ham attackers Michail Antonio, Jarrod Bowen, and Sebastien Haller, via WhoScored.
Here is what fans had to say following the transfer link:

Didn’t he struggle in the championship

Looking at his goals scored to games played ratio I suggest we take a wide berth.

Why not put the £15m toward a younger/better player….. build for the future instead of adding to the problems with mediocre players
