History maker should be handed West Ham chance by Bilic in time of need – Agreed?

Hammers fans here in the Tavern are becoming very fond of youngster Toni Martinez after performing incredibly for the U23 side, amid the seemingly constant struggles of the first-team under Slaven Bilic.

West Ham have endured a below average start to the season as they plunge to a disappointing 15th position. After the start that’s been made, the side are still yet to find that impressive run and winning formula that would set them up well for the season.

However, after the international break, one man’s name, in particular, has risen to the surface of barstool conversation. Indeed, Martinez is the talk of the punters clad in claret and blue after the Spanish forward score the first-ever hat-trick at the London Stadium during the win against Manchester United U23s.

The forward spent 15 games on loan at League 1 side Oxford United, where he gained some Football League experience while scoring 1 goal in his time with the club and is a fairly popular figure amongst the East London locals in our bar.

He has been tipped by many as the next big thing as he continues to impress in the lower ranks for the London based side. Many fans have been calling for the impressive youngster to replace target man Andy Caroll as he has struggled to perform in recent weeks, as well as receiving a red card against Burnley.

It remains to be seen as to whether the youngster will find himself a place in the side as of yet as Bilic as he has failed to be named in a match day squad as of late. Still, after recent performances he can’t be too far away as fans urge Bilic to bring the Spanish forward into place.

So Hammers fans, would you like to see this become a regular inclusion in the match day squads?
