‘It’s a crime’ – West Ham fans react angrily to club’s Twitter post

West Ham fans here in the Tavern are growing in disbelief at the lack of exposure given to a certain wonder kid.

The Hammers have been nothing short of disappointing so far this season, laying deep in the bottom half of the table as they struggle to win games. After a mid-table finish in the last, they’re looking extremely under par. We feel that this could be down to the highly criticized manager Slaven Bilic, as he has been hit with most of the blame as he fails to create a chemistry with the team which is visible on match days.

With the team looking uninspired, fans are gaining a sense of urgency for some improved performances, as they go on in search of some momentum. Strikers, in particular, haven’t fired, with Andre Ayew taking up the main load of goals for the club. So, in living on the edge of a dangerous position, they’re going to need to find a solution.

The solution might just have been found, as U23 wonder kid Toni Martinez has been finding the net with ease in recent times. Having scored 11 goals already for the club this season, it looks as if fans are urging Bilic to reach down and grasp the Germans services. For a man in such glorious goalscoring form, it only seems right to give him a chance on the big stage with the first team forwards not performing.

So here we take a look at what fans made of The Hammers displaying the 11 goals scored by Martinez this season…
