West Ham need to find consistency if they’re to remain in the top ten come the end of the season.
Manuel Pellegrini has made a big difference at the London Stadium yet his main problem is getting his team to produce on a regular basis.
They have the players to do so but with injuries aplenty, West Ham have at times struggled to live up to expectation.
Specifically, the Hammers have seen their midfield become tarnished with injuries and could then eye a new central-midfielder during the January transfer window.
Although it’s unlikely West Ham will spend a lot after their £100 million splurge over the summer, they surely still want to make improvements, like capturing a central-midfielder as good as Jonas Hofmann.
Hofmann, (who is valued at £10.8 million on Transfermarkt) has been sensational for Borussia Monchengladbach this season, with six goals and six assists to his name thus far.
Able to play in a more box-to-box role, or as an attacking midfielder solely, Hofmann has been brilliant alike the rest of his team-mates this season. Indeed, he has massively improved on his performances from last season, suggesting now is the perfect time for a club like West Ham to make a move.
West Ham are severely lacking a player that can get forward and back in midfield, and that’s where Jonas Hofmann comes into the picture.
At the age of 26, he could be ready for the bigger challenge that awaits in the form of Premier League football.
With the Hammers looking to improve as well, it could be a match made in heaven.
