Our West Ham fans here in the Transfer Tavern were easily the most relieved bunch of all over the weekend as they finally got back to winning ways.
The Hammers had been on a dire run of form ahead of the game at the London Stadium against Swansea, but managed to get a crucial win to help ease some relegation fears.
Of course, they’re not completely out of the woods just yet but there can be no doubt that the win took some of the pressure off of the likes of Slaven Bilic and the owners.
Indeed, David Gold and David Sullivan have had plenty of critics this season and, according to The Express, they are looking to sell part of their stake in the club, whilst also remaining on the board.
That, then, would open up the opportunity for new investment at the club – along with the current amount that is going in – and West Ham fans would surely be keen to see that.
The club will need to spend to get nearer the top six, and this story could allow for that.
