‘Legend’ – West Ham fans on Twitter finally feeling good after club post

The West Ham fans in the Transfer Tavern have been reacting to their club’s post, dedicated to club captain, Mark Noble. Noble played all 90 minutes as the Hammers ran out 3-0 winners against Southampton on Saturday, helping the club to climb five points clear of the relegation zone after losing three consecutive games by a three-goal margin.

Mark Noble and co have put themselves in the driving seat as they now have their destiny in their own hands. West Ham currently have 33 points and only need another seven to reach the magic 40-points mark, although in recent years 38 points have been enough to keep other club’s up. Just last week things were looking meagre for The Hammers, they’d lost 4-1, 4-1 and 3-0 in their last three games in the league and faced Southampton who were fresh off the back of reaching the FA Cup semi-finals with a new manager in charge.

Things couldn’t have gone smoother for David Moyes’s side though. The Hammers restricted Southampton to just nine attempts with none on target and were 3-0 up with the game put to bed at half-time. The fans can breathe a sigh of relief as they’ve regained a safe cushion between themselves and the drop zone, having previously been just one place and two points above the drop. Our local Irons will be planning for life in the Premier League next year and will be hoping that their very own captain fantastic, Mark Noble can guide them to many more years as one of England’s top-flight clubs.
