West Ham will be wanting to make some more signings during the January transfer window despite their brilliant form of late.
With four successive wins, the Hammers have propelled themselves into the top half of the Premier League for the first time this season, a position in which they aim to finish in as well.
That can only be done should the players keep or performances or alternatively, Pellegrini looks to new players to increase the chances of a higher finish for West Ham.
Some fans are in agreement that a new left-back is needed during January, with both Arthur Masuaku and Aaron Cresswell struggling to achieve consistency in that role this season.
In their place, Bristol City’s Lloyd Kelly could be a brilliant option.
Kelly, (who is valued at £675k on Transfermarkt) is already wanted by the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal, yet realistically, West Ham are the only club that could offer him regular game-time in the Premier League.
The 20-year-old has been described as a “Rolls Royce” kind of player, due to his ability to move seamlessly between opponents.
He has handled the difficulties of Championship football extremely well, holding his own in the 20 appearances he has made so far this season.
It could be costly for West Ham to recruit a young player of his ability seeing as Lloyd Kelly signed a new contract with Bristol City in the summer.
Nevertheless, he is a player that could transform West Ham’s defence, as his ability to attack and defend are as good as one another.
