West Ham have continued their up-and-down start to the Premier League campaign as their delight after beating Manchester United was quickly forgotten as they lost to Brighton.
With a quality array of players, fans will be slightly disappointed that West Ham didn’t start the season better, but now, they have to look forward and the aim is to improve.
Having found a secure defence and a potent attack, Manuel Pellegrini will be liking this West Ham team compared to the one he managed at the start of the season.
There are still valuable changes that could make a huge difference to the Hammers season, for example if they turned to the transfer market to find another striker with Arnautovic and Hernandez struggling with injuries and illness respectively, they could get themselves a player of Luis Muriel’s quality.
Muriel, (who is valued at £10.8 million on Transfermarkt) is a versatile forward that would offer his quality services from the wing or as a main striker.
The Sevilla man is regularly used from the bench but for a player of his quality, he could certainly benefit from leaving the Europa League side to moving to England.
West Ham could easily offer Muriel a regular spot and with his pace alongside Felipe Anderson’s skill and similar pace, as well as Andriy Yarmolenko’s trickery, their attack could even improve.
You only have to look at Luis Muriel’s goal contribution at every team he’s been at to know that he would be terrific option for West Ham.
Under Manuel Pellegrini a new future could be bright for West Ham and with the right signings they can get there.
