With West Ham United strengthening heavily before the coming campaign, many Irons players will likely be questioning their future.
Under Manuel Pellegrini, the East London outfit have wasted no time in strengthening their squad going into the new campaign. Transfer records have tumbled after West Ham look to put a sub-par inaugural season at the London Stadium behind them.
Names such as Felipe Anderson, Andriy Yarmolenko and Jack Wilshere have entered the club amongst a host of other signings. It seems there is a real desire for change under Pellegrini. They have spent to bring in a much higher level of player than they previously had at their disposal. Hammers fans will be going into next season with a feeling of cautious optimism. West Ham’s line-up will have a real new look to it when they travel to Anfield for their first Premier League fixture of the new season.
With that in mind, this player will seriously regret not leaving the London Stadium this summer.
One player who will regret not leaving the London Stadium this summer is Michail Antonio. The winger was linked with a move to Crystal Palace during this transfer window.
Antonio would be wise to take the chance to move away from the London Stadium. With the new talent West Ham have brought in, he almost certainly will not have a spot in Manuel Pellegrini’s starting eleven. At his age, the 28-year-old should be wanting to play first team football whilst in his prime.
Antonio could play a key role at another Premier League club, and would not regret leaving the Irons this summer, if he doesn’t, a long time on the bench beckons for Michail Antonio.
