Our West Ham fans are strangely looking forward to the rest of the season here in the Transfer Tavern, though The Guardian’s update on the Scott Hogan situation could have been better.
The Hammers have seen one of the most tumultuous campaigns of all the Premier League sides this year with their new stadium having issues, player performances being poor and now Dimitri Payet wanting to leave.
Weirdly, though, now that the Payet situation is out in the open the local Irons punters feel somewhat relaxed and the players seem similar.
The squad recorded a fine 3-0 victory over Crystal Palace last time out and that result showed the togetherness and fight in the squad that’s been lacking up until now.
Slaven Bilic will be looking to build on that with the likes of Scott Hogan, too, but it appears that at the moment it’s a no-go.
The Hammers’ latest bid was rejected by Hogan’s current club Brentford and it remains to be seen if a new bid is launched before the window shuts in a couple of weeks.
