The West Ham United fans in the Transfer Tavern have been given even more to shout about this evening following the confirmation on the club’s official website that Valencia forward Toni Martinez will join the club this summer.
A highly rated 18-year old, the Spaniard will make the move official at the start of July and has penned a three-year deal in East London.
He has been prolific with Los Che despite the ongoing problems there, notching over 100 times throughout the club’s youth ranks over the past four years.
Valencia have granted him permission to train with his new team before the move if official however, giving him time to settle in.
Things are on the up for the Hammers, who have excelled under Slaven Bilic this season and are on the verge of a huge stadium move from their Upton Park.
‘For me, it’s a great opportunity to be here and I hope to make the most of being at such a big club,’ said the Spanish under-19 international.
‘I joined West Ham because of the progress that the club is making. The decision to come here was made because it is a brilliant opportunity to join an interesting club in the Premier League.’
One for the future? Or is he good enough to use from the start of next season?
