The West Ham fans in Transfer Tavern have taken another aim at the club’s board as Marko Arnautovic has come calling for the fans, claiming that without fans you are nothing in football. West Ham’s players have been trying to win the fans back following some awful displays on the pitch over the last few weeks.
The Hammers propping our bar up have struggled to remain positive as of late, with their last three results all ending in losses by a three-goal margin. The Stratford club looks destined for relegation unless they can get their otherwise de-railed season back on track in the last eight games of the season. David Moyes’ side sit on 30 points and will need at least three more wins if they’re going to realistically plan for top-flight football next season.
If the club is to retain it’s Premier League status it will be with help from their influential Austrian international, Marko Arnautovic. The ex-Inter Milan winger has taken to life at the London Stadium nicely after an initial wobbly transition as he’s scored seven goals and set up five more in his 27 games in claret and blue this season. Arnautovic is West Ham’s record transfer signing after signing from Stoke last summer and now the fans will be to him to pull the Hammers out of the rut they find themselves in to try and rescue themselves from relegation.
With that in mind, here’s our local Irons’ verdict:
Would be nice if the owners shared this sentiment. Not just in words, but through actions.
Instead they have tried their best to raise West Ham's value so they could sell them for profit. Ironically they have partly failed in that and now we want them out anyway 😛

Perhaps you should tell the board that they seem to forget who puts the money in their pockets

When we have a world class team in a world class stadium the fans will stop protesting. In the meantime perhaps the players can turn up and put in a shift during our remaining games. The board has lied too often: we want actions not words. #NotFitToRunOurclub
