Our West Ham fans here in the Transfer Tavern really are tense at the moment with them getting closer and closer to that relegation zone.
The Hammers have had a dire campaign and after losing to Hull at the weekend, they’re now very precariously placed above the drop zone.
Indeed, that would be a real sucker punch for a club that’s meant to be aiming for European football and so Slaven Bilic needs to make sure that does not happen between now and the end of the campaign.
From there, then, he needs to start signing good players and nailing down his best ones on to new deals with Michail Antonio set to offered a new deal – according to The Sun.
The midfielder has been easily one of the Hammers’ best players this season and they must be concerned about losing him in the summer to one of the sides nearer the top of the league.
This new contract could ward off such interest, though, and it appears he will be offered £65k-a-week to stay in east London.
