West Ham fans in the Transfer Tavern are in good spirits this week following a superb victory over Crystal Palace at the weekend, and they’ve raised their glasses in approval to a report read out to them.
It’s been confirmed that Simone Zaza has cut-short his season long loan deal with the Hammers, with Juventus now completing a loan deal to send the Italian to Spanish giants Valencia until the end of the season.
The La Liga side confirmed the deal on their website, with the 25-year-old bringing an end to what has been a disappointing time in East London – as the Italian failed to find the net in any of his 14 appearances.
Slaven Bilic’s side are in the market for a striker this month and Zaza’s exit frees a spot within their ranks to bring in a new face, although our landlord isn’t confident they’ll land the sort of signing they need this month.
The West Ham punters here in the Tavern are delighted to see Zaza depart the London Stadium, and admit he simply wasn’t up to standard.
Who do West Ham need to target in January? Let us know in the comments below!
