Though the summer didn’t exactly start off well for the West Ham United fans in the Transfer Tavern, the last couple of weeks have truly excited everyone connected with the club within our four walls.
Indeed, the arrivals of Joe Hart and Marko Arnautovic have gone down a storm amongst the Hammers propping up our bar, along with the fact that Javier Hernandez is expected to sign too. With that in mind, our east London locals have been dancing on the pool tables of late.
Hernandez brings goals with him, something the Irons struggled for during their first campaign at the London Stadium and his arrival will seemingly have another impact on Slaven Bilic’s squad.
According to the Sun, the Mexican’s move will mean the club allow Ashley Fletcher to go out on loan ahead of the new campaign. The 21-year-old is a popular figure amongst our drinkers, though they do understand that allowing him to develop elsewhere could prove beneficial in the long run.
The likes of Leeds United, Reading, Middlesbrough and Wolves have all reportedly asked to take him on loan, meaning the former Manchester United youngster has his pick of top end Championship sides.
Clearly a big talent, the West Ham United fans in the bar tonight are happy with this decision, hoping to see Fletcher return a better player.
