Race hots up for PSG wonderkid

The Football Transfer Tavern is packed today and punters are huddled around the flat-screen watching Sky SportsNews who are reporting that Paris Saint Germain youngster Adrien Rabiot is set for a transfer battle with a host of Premier League clubs interested. The 17-year-old is highly thought of in France having been promoted into Carlo Ancelotti’s first team this season and his intelligent performances beyond his years have impressed watching Premier League scouts.

According to Sky Sports, West Bromwich Albion, Newcastle United and West Ham United are all monitoring the teenage midfielder with a view to a possible transfer.

Despite his young age, Rabiot is understood to be eager to play as much first team football as possible – something he may struggle to do at the Parc des Princes ahead of PSG’s experienced calvary in the centre of midfield.

This could lead to Rabiot crossing the English Channel with the Premier League offering much more game time – especially with a mid-table side, giving him the perfect platform to develop as a footballer

He has already spent time in England as part of Manchester City’s academy setup in 2008 and he could well be inclined to a move back in the near future.

Is Rabiot destined for the Premier League? Rate this rumour below.
