West Ham United fans here in the Tavern continue to drink in joy, as their beloved Hammers managed to secure all three points in Saturday’s clash with Watford.
Indeed, David Moyes’ name can be heard down streets all around the London Stadium, as Saturday’s 2-0 victory managed to captivate the claret and blue army. Of course, after bouncing back from the heartbreak of last weekend’s loss to Brighton, the Hammers took a step in the right direction as they managed to implement Moyes’ masterplan on the field. The Scot has quickly become a cult-hero here in large parts of Stratford, with a future very much being eyed, as according to reports from the Mirror, all signs on and off the pitch are pointing towards David Moyes staying long-term at the club.
Although David Moyes hasn’t officially put pen to paper on a new deal with the Hammers, there certainly are signs and hints that point towards a future under the Scot. Indeed, fans were in dreamland when joint-chairman David Sullivan announced that he hopes to keep Moyes for “many, many years”, and then Moyes sent them into a frenzy after revealing that he’d been central to discussions about a recruitment revamp at the end of the season.
Indeed, it certainly looks like positive times ahead for the Hammers under their saviour David Moyes, as a long-term deal for the Scot could just be the vital ingredient to providing a successful future at the London Stadium. After already nearing his first target of ensuring survival, our local residents are delighted with the progress they’ve made so far, and hope that this is set to continue under the guidance of the former Manchester United manager.
The Scot has become a fan favourite at the London Stadium, as the club now looks to have found the correct formula moving forward. Indeed, after suffering early season relegation trouble the Hammers’ campaign has been completely redefined, with Premier League survival now looking the likelier outcome.
